Communications Coordinator

I have worked at Cross Point Church since November 2023 as the Communications Coordinator – a position blending creativity and content management. My responsibilities include copywriting for emails, texts, socials, signage (digital and physical), and website copy. I create the social calendar for our Instagram, Facebook page, Facebook groups, and TikTok accounts, and I partner with content creators to produce graphics or videos for these accounts. 

In this role, I also helped to build and grow a volunteer comms team that began with two volunteers but now boasts over 15 amazing volunteers working together. I created and implemented management systems to organize volunteers and their scheduling, helping onboard them and cultivating positive relationships with them. 

To ensure collaboration across departments, I have created content calendars for email, social media, and text communications, which I keep organized and maintained. This is where I track all the content I produce and schedule so I can easily report updates and plans to ministries for whom I am communicating. 

I am proficient in using our project management system (Basecamp) to manage a multitude of assignments in a day. Much of my work at Cross Point is collaborative between me and my coworkers, so reliability in hitting due dates is imperative. 

Producing Videos

One skill I honed as the Cross Point Communications Coordinator was producing videos. Whether it was with a professional videographer and editor or a communications volunteer, I learned the process of clearly communicating call times, shot lists, dress codes, and writing interviews and or scripts.
